Club Escape Recreation and Leisure Services

Club Escape Recreation and Leisure Services is an innovative consumer driven program that serves adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities.  This program serves to provide its participants with the opportunity to attend recreational activities in the community as well as provide the chance to socialize with peers, meet new friends, gain opportunity to relax, hang out and have fun.

Club Escape participants are invited to a once  monthly organization meeting during which the upcoming months recreational activities are decided upon and planned.  Each week there are three activities that occur between Monday and Friday that last approximately two to three hours and one activity scheduled on a weekend day.  Some examples of recreational events that Club Escape attends are Bisons' Games, BINGO, movies, bowling, dining at local restaurants and theater shows.  Club Escape also provides the opportunity to attend four extended trips a year.  These trips may last a full day or may even include an overnight stay somewhere!  It is important to remember that the activities that we participate in and/or attend are decided upon by Club Escape participants - not Club Escape staff.

Club Escape also offers a unique and interesting Speaker Series.  This Speaker series in an education and informative event for our participants!  It provides the participants the opportunity to interact with the speaker and their peers in a group discussion forum, as well as provide them the opportunity to talk about and learn about topics in which they are interested.  Some topics that may be presented within the Speaker Series may include personal health and and wellness, yoga and fitness, sports recreational skills and human sexuality.  The topics presented during this Speaker Series, are decided upon by Club Escape participants, and the topics available are only limited by your imagination!

If Club Escape sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact one of the program representatives for further information.  Club Escape invites you to go ahead and gives us a try!  You can decide to join us for events as often or as infrequently as you like.  It's all up to you!  Club Escape's headquarters are located in Kenmore or Fredonia, NY which us to service participants from many different areas.
