The after school program at LDA is an inclusive program for children with special needs.  The program is open to school age children and located in the City of Buffalo.

Community involvement
Recreational and Social Activities
Specialized plans to meet need areas
Nutritious snacks
Safe and healthy environment

The goals of the after school program are to provide parents with a safe environment for their children and promote activities to increase self-esteem, inclusive environment and promote academic, social and recreational enhancement.

Trained adult staff implement the service provided in the after school program.

Transportation to the program is provided through the school district and limited transportation is provided home.

The Therapeutic Recreation program at LDA is an inclusive program for children with special needs.  The program is open to school age children (7-17) and is offered on Saturdays (30) during the school year.

The activities offered include:           

Rock climbing
Movies
Science and Art museums
Lasertron
Holiday events
Bowling
