Intensive Vocational Placement Program LDA of WNY's Intensive Vocational Placement Program has three major components: assessment and vocational counseling which identify skills, interests and aptitudes, Professional Success Sessions© (PSS) which provide a job search tool kit and job placement which includes intensive task analysis and job coaching. A basic functional assessment identifies specific barriers to employment as well as the skills, interests and aptitudes of individuals referred to the program. The Individual Employment Service plan is created to address these issues. Ongoing assessment of the individual's employment potential is built into the program. Professional Success Sessions Job development is individualized as outlined in the Individual Employment Service Plan. The job seeker is actively involved in the job search process weekly in both individual and small group placement meetings. During the first 90 days of employment, task analysis, job coaching and other relevant supports are provided as needed. LDA staff also advocates for any needed worksite accommodations or extra training. |
