Supervised Transitional Living Program

When all individuals reach a certain age, the desire to leave home begins to grow.  We look forward to living on our own, becoming independent, productive and self-sufficient.  LDA of WNY's Supervised Living Program may be the first step in this transition for individuals who require 24-hour supervision and support.

LDA of WNY’s Individualized Residential Alternative, located on Jewett Parkway in North Buffalo, offers a relaxed home-like atmosphere where individuals develop basic daily living and social skills.  They also take part in a wide range of community based social and recreational activities.  Everything is geared towards achieving a greater degree of independence.

Trained staff members offer basic training and assistance based on individual needs and desires in a wide range of areas in individual and small group settings.  Specific focus areas may include:

Cooking

Cleaning

Shopping

Budgeting

First Aid

Personal Hygiene

Individuals also receive support from clinical staff in managing their medical needs.
