Diagnostic Vocational
Assessment Program
For over fifteen years, LDA of WNY has been providing VESID and local school districts with comprehensive vocational assessments through the use of the McCarron-Dial System (MDS). MDS is a battery of neurometric and behavioral measures introduced to the field of rehabilitation in 1973. MDS,
considered to be the most accurate vocational assessment tool available, measures five neuropsychological factors (verbal-cognitive, sensory, motor, emotional and integration-coping) as predictive of vocational competency for individuals with learning disabilities.
