Not all children view school the same…

 2016 Equitable Education Fund

Education is the key to helping children with learning disabilities reach their full potential and achieve the highest possible quality of life.

Did you know?

  • In NYS, there are 6.5 million students with disabilities

  • Students with autism and other health impairments (ADHD, epilepsy), mobility impairments, or mental health issues account for more than 1 in 5 school-aged children covered under Individuals with Disabilities Education Act  (IDEA) nationwide

  • Students with learning disabilities like dyslexia are the largest group of those covered by the IDEA

  • In 2014-15, students with learning disabilities made up 39% of all students in special education.

LDA of WNY is dedicated to intervening on behalf of vulnerable school age children who are either unidentified or under-served in our current public or private school sectors.
